Services
Science Impact strives to increase the output of quality academic work by providing the following services to (industrial) companies, universities, university departments (professors, PIs, postdoctoral fellows, students), educational institutes, students, and other individuals:
1) Writing assistance and critical evaluation of manuscripts, (PhD, Master and Bachelor) theses, grant applications, and promotional material (leaflets, brochures)
2) Extensive literature research and evaluation (providing a comprehensive written report and professional advice on the potential of further studying the topic at hand)
3) Translation of manuscripts, book chapters, and other (academic) documents from Dutch to English or vice versa
4) Assistance in the generation of hypotheses and/or study design
5) Educational services in the fields of pharmacology and physiology
Upon first contacting us, we will develop a plan of action together and discuss how we can best help you to optimally deliver a contribution to the academic community.
About Us
Dr. Schaafsma, CEO of Science Impact, received his PhD in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (specializing in Molecular Pharmacology) with honours (Cum Laude) at The University of Groningen, The Netherlands, in 2007. The following 5 years, he was active as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. During his PhD and postdoctoral studies, he was successful in landing numerous prestigious grants from well established funding agencies, including the Netherlands Asthma Foundation (NAF), the Manitoba Health Research Council (MHRC), the Manitoba Institute of Child Health (MICH), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). As a result of his academic efforts, he published 34 papers, 32 abstracts, and 2 book chapters. After his postdoc, Dr. Schaafsma temporarily returned to the Netherlands as a Lecturer at The University of Groningen, teaching physiology and pharmacology classes.
Science Impact was founded in November 2016. Since then, we have enthusiastically assisted clients from a variety of disciplines in making their voices heard in the academic community.
